Dapper Dom

Dapper Dominic

Dom, Dom, so clean and dapper,

tall and strong, quite the strapper.

Pinstripe pants and wingtip shoes,

listens to jazz, rhythm and blues.

Dom is always so clean and proper,

and often accused of being a copper.

But the man in the shadows, looking quite dandy

is pulling the strings while sipping his brandy.

The rats are all buttoned, the cops are tied down,

Dom’s hands are quite vested in all of this town.

Don’t let him fool you with charisma and charm,

his cunning and craft should throw an alarm.

Lucca “Lucha” Libre

The masked man strikes again!

Extortion, robberies, and smuggling abound.

No one knows what he really looks like,

not even his mom!

(We know, we interrogated her.)

If you have seen this man, been robbed by this man,

or recently clothes-lined, flying monkeyed, or body slammed,

please contact local authorities immediately.

There has been a rash of sightings and it is unclear

if there is a mob of these men, or just one, changing masks.

Be on the look out for Lucha Libre wrestlers in your neighborhood.

Last seen wearing a white suit, black tie, a fedora

and a luchador mask.

We believe his name is Lucca. Lucca Libre.

Agatha Finch

Slow, Yield, Stop!

Swell, even the traffic is paid off.

Westbound gets privileges over Southbound.

Eastbound just has to wait for everyone.

Twenty clams for a right turn,

your first born child for a left.

Only a sap would think to mention a U-turn.

Agatha directs traffic at 3rd and Broadway,

only the most jumpin’ part of town.

It’s more like a tollbooth than it is an intersection.

Someone gets a little bit of authority

and it takes you seven right turns to make a left.

She used to work at the State Street bridge but

if people didn’t pay, up went the bridge as they crossed.

They nick named her the Bridge Troll.

So, need I say it again:

Slow, Yield, Stop!

(For Illustration Friday: “Yield”)
